The Coffee Sac is a sustainable and biodegradable fabric. Coming from Belém, Pará, the fabric is manufactured from jute, a resistant and 100% natural fiber. It’s planting is naturally renewable, without the need to use agricultural pesticides and herbicides, agrotoxic products and fertilizers.
Originally used in the manufacturing of bags for the transportation of coffee beans, jute exclusively uses vegetable oil and its industrial process does not damage the environment or people’s health (according to the standards established by the International Coffee Organization - ICO and the International Cocoa Organization ICCO).
The Coffee Sac fabric underwent several quality tests at the IPT (Technological Research Institute), being indicated for curtains, wall lining, furniture upholstery and decoration articles. Available in solid-color or embroidered versions, where the work is manual and uses natural cotton threads, maintaining the product’s social-environmental responsibility commitment.
JRJ believes in sustainable development and knows that the future of the planet depends on the mobilization of all as well as practical and functional actions. Therefore, it signed a commitment with the Global Pact and works to broaden its Eco-Friendly fabric offerings, which is based on the principle of respect for the human-being and the environment.
